I love coming here to my blog directly from Pink
The screen does this cool transition thing that's start shaped and it takes everything in me not to go "Supa-stah!" a la Molly Shannon's Katherine Whatsername character on SNL.
I've been avoiding any new posts because I don't want to make my lovely wedding dress photos go away down the page. *sigh*
We bought new fireplace tools last night; helf off, baybee! Now we can have a much more efficient fire. At least that's Jamie's excuse for sitting there poking at it for an hour! "It makes it more efficient!" he kept telling me.
I *did* get roses for Valentine's Day. They're gorgeous, they're pink and red and white ones. And Jamie's so proud of himself... he bought a plastic wrapped dozen and arranged them himself in a vase we already had. "Well," he told me "they wanted like TWICE as much for the flowers in the vase! So I did it myself! I even trimmed them!" Such a sweetheart (and thrifty too! LOL)
I get choked up every time *someone* wins a medal in the Olympics. Doesn't matter if we're talking about an American or not. Every time I see someone achieve a lifelong dream, I cry. Can't help it. Always have.
(Mom, don't hit me!) Jamie and I are going to see Van Morrison in concert next month! I got tickets for Jamie's V-Day present. As my dad says, we've set a prescedent of seeing classics in concert (the Eagles, the Stones, Paul McCartney) and Van is here so rarely, we just can't pass up that opportunity. It's on March 3 and I can't wait. Seeing "Brown Eyed Girl" performed live? Priceless.
I'm currently bidding on a pair of Manolo Blahnik's on eBay... owning a pair is on my list of 100 Things to Do Before I Die, and I've decided I want to get a pair to wear to my wedding. By looking on eBay, I'm finding some great deals (like in the $100 range!) and just found a *gorgeous* pair a couple of days ago. Bidding closes in about 3 hours, while I'm sound asleep, so I'm hoping to wake up to good news!
Ummm... that's all I've got for now! Stay tuned for more random meandering from moi!
