Sneak Peek! Christmas Card Photos

Special thanks to Katie for taking these for us! It's amazing how much fun you can have with a $40 picture frame from Michaels! Check back next week for the finished card!

And here are a few "outtakes" that I love...

Thursday #85 - Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Max's second Thanksgiving at my parents house, which is, as of late, one of Max's favorite hangouts, thanks to this rocking horse! It's more than a little terrifying for me, watching him rock that thing himself... but I'm sure it's the same way my mom felt when she watched me on it, at about this same age!
This was my rocking horse, that my Grampy built! (I'm looking for a photo of me on it... I'll share as soon as it turns up!)

Thursday #84

Anyone care to wager what percentage of Thursday photos from Max's second year will include waffles? We take most of our Thursay pics in the morning before we leave the house, so the *vast* majority of these photos have Max holding or chewing his daily waffles!

Blogging for Preemies

November is Prematurity Awareness Month and today, Nov. 17, is Blogging for Preemies Day.
In order to participate, I should do a moving blog entry about why we need something like Prematurity Awareness Day, about the good works the March of Dimes does. I should have a well worded anecdote that summarizes the preemie experience... that is what I *should* do to blog for preemies.
Instead, I'm blogging for preemies right in between making dinner for preemies and going through bedtime for preemies. No offense to my preemie-sisters, but there's really only one preemie in my life, and I do everything for him.
I blog for a preemie.
I read for a preemie.
I learn for a preemie.
I live for a preemie.

It's the path I've been put on, one of those roads I'd never wish on my worst enemy, but I can't imagine my life any different. I love the way it is!

Blogging Challenge #7

For info on this challenge, check out this post!
Click here to see a complete list of the prompts.

It's Friday the 13th! Do you have any superstitions?

I'm not a generally superstitious person... I'm clumsy; I've broken my share of mirrors and have owned a black (or mostly black) cat for the vast majority of my life... they're bound to have crossed my path at least once or a thousand times! Heck, my parents *met* on Friday the 13th! (Of May, in 1966...) That's not bad luck, if you ask me, 44 years later... I do remember going through phases of superstitiousness when I was a kid... I learned about the tradition of tossing salt over your shoulder, so in a better-safe-than-sorry move, I'd toss salt AND pepper over BOTH shoulders. A girl can't be too safe in this crazy world!

Next week's prompt: 11/20/09 What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
